San Francisco, CA — August 4, 2012 — The newly rebranded Miss Asian Global & Miss Asian America Pageant, featuring 19 accomplished young women from various corners of the world, illuminated the historic Palace of Fine Arts with their unique strengths and talents.
Susie Lee, 19, of San Francisco, CA, won Miss Asian Global and received the Best in Ethnic Attire accolade. Emily Tang, 21, from Davis, CA, was crowned Miss Asian America and Miss Asian First Princess.
The pageant’s rebranding to include “Miss Asian Global” marked a significant step, allowing delegates from around the world to compete. This expansion underscores the pageant’s dedication to celebrating diversity and offering a broader platform for accomplished young women.
Other notable winners included April Kim (Miss Asian California and Miss Asian Second Princess) and Jasmine Lee (Miss Asian San Francisco, Miss Asian Third Princess, and Miss Popularity). Meizi Shi excelled in both talent and entrepreneurship, earning her two titles. Diana Nguyen was recognized for congeniality and academic achievement, while Jasmine Nip was commended for community service, and Sarah Choi for photogenicity. Bianca Beatrice Darmawan received the Facebook Choice Award.
The Miss Asian Global & Miss Asian America Pageant remains a vital platform for empowerment and cultural celebration, honoring the achievements of these exceptional women.
Since her reign, Susie Lee has become a top Realtor and founder of Susie Lee Group, holding a Doctor of Pharmacy and BA in Pharmacy Studies from Northeastern University. Deeply involved in her community, she contributes to organizations like the Korean American Community Center and The National Unification Advisory Council.
